Knox City Council Enterprise Agreement No. 9 2015 – 6

You can download the Employer Claims Protocol so you can see for yourself which direction wants to change, reduce and delete the agreement. This with an increase of 2% per year. The ASU Damage Report is also available for download. If a job has a registered agreement, the bonus does not apply. However, with its New Approaches programme, the Fair Work Commission can also help employers and workers negotiate businesses. Read more about The New Approaches on the Fair Work Commission website. These two meetings were essentially spent responding to our respective demands. It is fair to say that the unions and management have started a long way to go and that we still have a long way to go if we are to reach an agreement. Hey, that`s what corporate negotiations are! Registered agreements are valid until terminated or issued. Of all the employees of the ASU De VicTa subsidiary, we hope you had a safe and joyful Christmas, the New Year and we hope that 2019 will be even better! During these two meetings, there has been a somewhat robust discussion so far, but nothing important to report.

If you have any questions, please contact asu Lead Organiser Ty Lockwood at tlockwood@asuvictas.com.au or one of your knox Council ASU delegates: ASU would like to make it very clear to our members that we will not accept any conditions or permissions lower than what you are currently receiving. Late last year, the unions formally met with Knox Council management to begin negotiations. Our minutes were presented and we had two meetings with these claims on the table. We have scheduled another meeting on Wednesday, January 30 and I guess it will be a little more exciting from there. We will release updates as frequently as possible in the coming months and hold member meetings if we need membership instructions. We strongly recommend that all members participate in these meetings and discuss our newsletters with your colleagues. Share them in lunchrooms or on black boards. There is absolutely no harm in having too much information, especially about your working conditions and your rights.

ASU has yet to meet with home & community care and School Crossing Supervisors to draft its harm protocol. We will endeavor to do so as soon as possible. .
